I put it on in the background sometimes, and watch when a new episode is on. It's not exactly sophisticated highbrow humor, but with friends it's pretty fun to watch. It's like those prank videos on YouTube, but produced, not real, and with likable hosts. They really seem like good guys.

The challenges seem pretty real though for sure, I mean there's really no way to fake bombing at a concert is there? I mean they could tell the audience it's fake, but then that wouldn't be humorous at all for them and would defeat the point of doing something so prolific in the first place. There's even a youtube video or two of audience members recording "Señora Lanza" opening for Imagine Dragons, one I watched that some Mexican or South American guy recorded while chatting with his friends, and they realize it's Impractical Jokers about halfway through.
It does make me wonder though how they pick the loser for each episodes. Do they just go in order? Draw straws? Is it just random? Or maybe they do keep a tally after all but it's far broader than what we actually see in the show?
I'd be curious to know.

I've noticed this as well, it happens every single episode and Murr actually answered someone's question about it on Periscope recently. He said that they go back and watch the footage afterwards, and pick the person who mathematically did the worst. I'm guessing that when it's multiple jokers, they all did equally bad even though they might not have had the same amount of losses exactly
