Let's talk about Indiana Jones.Last Crusade is best
Wrong. Raiders is best and temple of doom a close second.

This. For years I thought I liked Last Crusade the most until I rewatched the original three movies last weekend. Raiders is unquestionably the best one.
>>86523724
then crystal skull, then last crusade
>>86523672
Raiders is the best film. Temple is my favorite because it was a darker tone and making it a prequel was a nice touch. Last crusade was a nice ending to the entire series.
As a whole, best trilogy of the 1980's.
Reminder that he is a misogynistic, rapist pedophile.
>>86523764
>using a meme image of a guy wearing a bowling shirt
>>86524207
Explain
Last Crusade is nothing but a lazy retread of the previous films. Raiders is the best but Temple is my favorite.
>>86524207
But by golly if you don't love him
>>86524387
>>86523786 here. Last Crusade is when Spielberg had become modern Spielberg. Way too many corny moments.
>>86524287
He's rude, disrespectful, and physically abusive to women. Kisses them without consent, putting his hands on them, etc.
He also fucked that gril when she was underage, making him a rapist and pedophile.
These are objective facts presented blatantly in the films, and not up for debate.
If they're gonna do a 5th one, can we just get an animated with Harrison Ford voicing, he sounds pretty much the same. Indy only works in the 1930s
>>86524661
Marion never said how old she was when they had their fling.
>>86523672
Hahaha not bad little kid.
But get a load of this.
1>3>4>2
>>86524951
Source on that? From my recollection her line was "I was just a girl."
>>86524661
All those things just make him more likeable.
>>86525054
Novelization
>>86525108
lol
>>86523724
Temple of Doom is absolute horsehsit
>>86523724
Saw all three in theaters. Last Crusade is the best.
Raiders = Crusade > Temple
>>86523672
Last Crusade is the most rewatchable for me, but it's kind of derivative of the first one. If it wasn't for Connery, it would be just kind of an above average flick (it would still have really enjoyable action sequences though).
Raiders is the best, Temple is third. Seems to be a wave of contrarianism the past few years with people claiming that Temple of Doom is their favorite.
>>86525208
I feel like a lot of people haven't watched these movies in several years and just go by their childhood favorite. After rewatching them recently, Raiders is easily the best one.
>>86525468
this
I always claimed ToD was my favorite but after watching them again I saw how flawed and awkward it can be, it has amazing effects and a cool concept and fantastic soundtrack, but the characters and dialogue really hold it back. I still really like it but Raiders simply is the best
>>86523672
Raiders is easily the best followed by Crusade then Doom and Crystal Skull tied. Crystal Skull is waaaaaay overhated.
Raiders >>>>> Crusade > Temple of Doom
Crusade and Temple of Doom were made after George and Lucas divorced which is why they're garbage like everything else he made without Marcia
>>86525614
*George and Marcia
>>86525553
I agree that Crystal Skull isn't as bad as it's made out to be but the Russians don't really make for compelling villains and it has way too many corny 'Spielberg moments'.
Raiders >>> Doom > Crusade >>> Aliens
The first three are all great though, way better than Star Wars if you want to compare them. Crystal Skull honestly had great stuff in it but it was too stupid to enjoy as much
Raiders > Temple = Crusade >>>> Crystal Skull
Why does everyone hate Crystal Skull so much?
>>86525839
Guy on the left.
Considering that similar elements exist in American Graffiti with John and Carol, it's clear Lucas has some real issues.
>>86526100
/OURGUY/
>>86526196
Why am I suddenly reminded of those /b/ threads where pervs decide to look at kids up for adoption?
> Raiders > Temple = Crusade = Skull
Dead serious here, Crystal Skull is fucking great.
Only flaws are...
> Fridge survival (although that whole sequence was well done & suspenseful regardless)
> Shia swinging on vines.
> Slight bit of convoluted-ness with Oxley putting the skull back were he found it.
Shia was genuinely decent in it, show some strong emotion in that sequence when they go to visit Oxley's mental institution cell.
Blanchett was a great sexy villain.
The Aliens were a nice change of pace from the previous 3 supernatural affairs, sequences with the skulls were genuinely eerie & unsettling.
>>86526303
I haven't been on /b/ in years and maybe I'm getting old but that's fucked.
>>86526303
It was just a joke.
>>86524661
and were is the problem in that?
PICK ONE
>1. Steven Spielberg Indiana Jones 5 starring Shia LaBeouf as Mutt Jones finding Atlantis with the help of his retired father in '60s Greece and Africa
>2. Disney Indiana Jones reboot starring Chris Pratt punching Nazis in Egypt
I would say that Raiders is objectively the best one, but goofy Sean Connery makes Crusade my favorite.

Everything you just said makes him /ourguy/. Not even up for debate

>movies that betas will never understand
>>86525870
This
>>86525839
Why didn't they just have John Hurt be old man Ravenwood? When Marion says "he's dead" should could have just meant in the Tony Soprano "dead to me" way.
>>86526689
3. full scale global apocalypse
>>86526689
1. Grumpy t-shirt Ford and broken Shia for me.
>>86523672
Sure thing Junior
>>86526879
I was shocked to learn that John Hurt was only two years older than Harrison Ford. Ford has god tier genetics.
>>86523764
At least there was a semblance of originality to the story. Show me a motion picture that isn't steeped in nostalgia due to the completely bereft of ideas healming things today.
>>86527090
I know right?
I watched The Fugitive the other night and he looks the fucking same still.
>>86523764
>base your incredible action series on old adventure serials
>have some illiterate neckbeard millennial call it capeshit
This is why he sold to the mouse
>FLY? YES.
>LAND? NO.
Crusade > Raiders > Temple > Crystal Skull
This is the objective truth.
Reminder that Young Indy had best girl
>>86524404
I liked him until I read this post.
>>86525839
The intro part I was honestly fine with. The entire warehouse scene felt like they were at least attempting to tread old ground, and then the motorcycle chase through the school was also pretty good.
After that though it just was boring and irritating.
>>86523724
Correct
>>86524661
It was quite disrespectful when he shot that man in the face
>>86527129
Lol except thats wrong. The film used a bunch of shit that was already in serial adventures from the fifties. It was a nostalgia bomb for people George Lucas's age.
>>86527508
What did Lucas mean by this?
>>86525839
>nobody dies on screen
>pretty slow in parts like Peru
>DUDE THE TREASURE WAS KNOWLEDGE
>shitty CGI scenes like the gophers, monkies, ants, and the aliens
GET THAT GREASER is a surprisingly memorable line though
