The core problem is that we've already seen Han Solo's character arc; we've seen it four fucking times. Now were gonna have another one except this time when he's like 20. What character arc during this time could compare to one of his four most important ones of his adult life? Probably the one that defines his character, his character in a nutshell. You better believe they're going to do this and nobody is going to be surprised much less captured like when they saw Ford's first performance as the character in a simple adventure story.

Having a movie about his young years is just indulgence.

That's the core problem, like the main issue on paper before production even begins in anyway. This production has already had a change in direction, rumors of the main actor's shortcomings he's playing no exaggeration one of the most iconic characters in all of fiction no pressure , creative differences, and all overshadowed by what the studio perceives the market wants: another nostalgic fucking star wars adventure except with all the familiar shit we'eve seen before
