Before Disney bought Star Wars I thought Lucas would just keep hoarding the rights to do more cartoons until the day he died. When the rights would be sold off by his wife, daughters or whoever has the authority, the original actors would be long dead so Star Wars would be getting a reboot engineered to work better as a trilogy or two trilogies.

I would have loved to see them make different versions of these movies as here the tiny details really matter in the grand scheme of things an would greatly change some spects in further movies, unlike Spider-Man and other capeshit with 3 reboots in 10 years where it all just boils down to cosmetics.
