I remember seeing one episode of anime Urusei Yatsura . Can't shake it off my head.
It opened with a phantom of the opera kind of guy snatching the prom queen from the prom 30 years ago. Then in present the phantom guy returns to the high school to snatch another girl but he is now fat and old and the new kids have completely forgotten him. And these new kids all have superpowers and kick his ass when he tries to bother them.
There was also a Raoul kind of guy trying to save his queen back then . Now he is the school principal and is also fat and ridiculed by the kids. Only the principal takes the phantom guy seriously.
In the end of the episode the phantom seems like to be able to snatch the new prom queen away, but a fat and tough housewife comes up with a kid and slaps the phantom and apologizes to the group that phantom her husband always gets drunk on prom day and tries to re-live his prime. She is the prom queen snatched away and she is now married to the phantom and is the mom of his kid.

The principal, the Raoul guy back then, sits on the floor and cries that his high school crush had grown into a fat and tough housewife now, while the kids dances on on their prom
