Does anyone else feel like the show would be drastically improved without the existence of white walkers? I don't mind some of the fantasy elements like the lord of light, three eyed raven, dragons, the faceless men, etc. The white walkers are too much of a fucking stretch. Instead of getting comfy medieval politics and war strategies like in the earlier seasons, this season feels half assed when it comes to what made the show so great. Instead now we get Jon Snow going "muh white walkers" and it's all the show is focusing on. This is shaping up to turn into a generic story in which enemies unite to face a common enemy. Season 8 will definitely be worse because it will have ten times as many spooky cgi skeletons taking up screentime.
