Dunno about Covenant though, I haven't gotten around to watching it yet, but from what I've heard some like it and some hated it, so I'd guess and say it either fits in front of Prometheus or behind.

Also I feel the need to defend myself liking Prometheus. It had very good themes and very intricate meaning behind everything, but everyone except Shaw was a complete fucking idiot as well as being an asshole who collectively managed to take a few years off my life through anger alone. Besides things that shouldn't be a problem in the far future somehow still being a problem, I got a lot out of it

Also personally I thought Aliens was better than Alien, but I'm aware some roleplay niggers on this board think otherwise

Aliens has spellbinding art direction and production design on par with Alien if not vastly superior.

Unlike the hack Scott, Cameron actually did a huge part in every facet of making the film like a true patrician director.

Alien was an excellent horror film, Aliens was an excellent war film that achieved greatness in a new unique way. Just like a great sequel should do.

It expanded the mythos without being obnoxious, Stfu with this mindless killer bullshit. The Hive basically fought an excellent campaign against the better equipped and ill prepared marines. The Xenomorphs went from the stealthy killer you saw in the first to an increasingly intelligent and organized force that played to their advantages.

The soundtrack is God tier, and the characters have aged like fine wine.

Aliens may be inferior due to being built on the originals legacy. However how you idiots downplay a genuinely fantastic film is sickening and unbecoming of any fan of cinema.

Subjectively you can dislike Aliens all you want, but you're fucking wrong to think it's woefully inadequate to the original.

I know some parts of Aliens don't really hold up, but I still think its the better movie. It had a few more characters that weren't total morons, and it had fantastic slow-building atmospheric tension. I admit that Alien was the superior Sci-fi/Horror film, but Aliens was a much better Sci-fi/Action film, and theres nothing wrong with that.

The film took everything that was great about the first film and made it better.
