Gone in 60 seconds, the remake.
I like the cars, but most of all I like the hospital bit. Probably the only Nicolas Cage movie I like

Watch more Nic Cage movies because he's done some good ones. Off the top of my head:

When I'm drunk I like to watch Pop music videos on YouTube.
You know, Leslie Gore, Blondie, Aleesia Cara, all kinds of women singing.
The joke lies in the fact I'm a metal head who listens to metalcore band death metal.
When I'm drunk, I watch women sing about being strong.
Odd, hardly do I watch film drunk.

When I'm drunk I like 80s music with heavy synth and anthemic choruses.
The remake is better than the original.
FACT.

Bringing Out the Dead may be the best Nic Cage performance of all time. He fucking captured that frayed desperate look of a man who hasn't slept in three days.
>>86442688
Low key one of Scorsese's best.
>>86442759
yes and probably Schrader's best script too. I need to read that book it seems like an awesome story on paper.

The original was just a bunch of car porn and rediculious stunts. the remake actually had some characters and depth to it. I loved gone in 60 seconds(remake) when i was a kid and I went a good 15 years without watching it and i gotta say, it's still a fairly entertaining car porn filled movie. It has aged slightly due to the nature of the cars and such, but still, a solid 7/10

>Bringing Out the Dead is a 1999 American drama film directed by Martin Scorsese, written by Paul Schrader, based on the novel by Joe Connelly
You taught me something anon I didn't know it was adapted from a book.

Most of the best movies, going back 60+ years, are adapted from books. It's pretty standard practice for studios to buy the rights to interesting and provocative books en masse.

Bingo. Film has perfect blend of madness, decadence and desperation. It is in many ways quite similar to taxi driver. Paul Schrader and Scorsese are pretty brilliant combination of director and screenwriter.

Lot of books end up way different on film. Dr Strangelove for example is based on quite serious thriller, Red Alert. Writer of original novel, Peter George, worked with Kubrick and satirist Terry Southern to turn it into comedy. George published novelization of early film draft, after film had been released, final film script went too far into comedy in his opinion. Fun fact is that he was active duty officer in Royal Air Force at the time he wrote Red Alert, that is one reason why some stuff in the movie were bit too realistic for USAF and CIA, other is the fact how right prop team got B-52 cockpit in the film, there was literally two declassified pictures of cockpit when the movie was made.
As final note Peter George in 1966 suck started a double barrel shotgun.
