1. General Francis X. Hummel (The Rock)
Probably the best villain of all time, his motivation was admirable and his conduct impeccable.

2. Alec Trevelyan (Goldeneye)
Good guys who defect due to abuse or losing faith in their employers is a great trope and he was probably my favourite example of it in movies. Lucas North from Spooks was better in the TV category.

3. David (Prometheus / Alien: Covenant)
AI are always great villains, I'd prefer Samaritan from Person of Interest, but in movies David takes the cake: mistreated by his creator, disparaged by his crew mates, he suffered in silence until he snapped, and what a snap.
