I dunno, it sort of makes sense. He isn't about loyalty, honor or pride, he's all about survival and his personal well-being and has always been so he's gained major skill.

Well at least it used to make sense. Obviously D&D have no sublety or character understanding whatsoever so he's just a cool warrior proficient in dark alley backstabbing or frontlinesman in war all the like.

Most, if not all warriors are judged by how they die. Men are honored for dying on the battlefield, by their town, family, fellow soldiers, king, etc.

Bronn has none of that.
