Man, this was a 10/10 delivery.
The way Ryan Reynolds casts his eyes downward, pauses as though in deep reflection, and looks back up after blinking to ask this question with perfect inflection convinced me 100% that the request asked for genuinely confused him.
What are some other fantastic delivery of lines that you recall?
the espresso scene in Mulholland Drive when everyone is screaming and yelling at each other and then angelo very quietly says
>this is the girl
Gene Wilder in Blazing Saddles. That scene in the jail after Bart is told 'up yours, nigger' by the little old lady.
The delivery of 'you know, morons.' Is just perfect in timing and execution.
completely agreed
another one is the cop in goodfellas who busts henry and puts the gun to his head, then he has a couple lines in the next scene too which are just A+

It also kills me how literally seconds after he is forced to kill Draco all the villagers bust through the door. If they had only gotten there sooner they could have ganged up on Einon and taken him into custody.

Ethan Hawk's "I know" in this scene is pretty amazing. You can tell the character is incredibly happy at getting something he's fantasized about for years, but can also feel the weight of making such a huge life decision.

Good thread OP.
I know it's a meme but I really like this one. Starts at about 1min 55sec.

I used to say this so much IRL when I was a dude weed kid.
>>86379291
That's probably the best one line delivery from the movie but for my favourite performance it's the entire segment with that guy who starts pissing uncomfortably close to Kumar. Just right off the bat I start grinning by him interrupting Kumar in the middle of his asking "Excuse m-" ("Whah?")
>You the King of Forest?
>>86383963
Really makes you think.Unironically, about how everyone sees things in their lives that only they/few others will see, and those things are gone forever once they die. Countless incredible and beautiful experiences, worthy of preserving, gone forever.
>>86381571
Hawke is the best. Her delivery of "baby you are going to miss that plane" is equally beautiful
>>86384235
Now I am sad. thanks for that.
I'll always love this line and the way it's delivered.

I agree OP.
It's super quotable and useful in so many situations while chatting and having fun with friends and it isn't as jarring as someone quoting monthy python.
Definitely 10/10

Tom DeLonge is actually a hilarious person
>>86379811
I'm thinking you that you can probably find a lot of 10/10 deliveries in mel brooks movies, or at least an unusually high number of 9/10s.

Damn, very insightful and self-deprecating statement for a mere brute.
I was recently rewatching footloose. And I always liked the speech scene.

It is a sad thought, but beautiful in a way too. To me, it makes the moments so precious and sweet, because they only last in memories that will be lost. So fragile, so fragile

I think part of why all those moments and experiences are so precious, is that they are just tears in rain.
It is just mine, or just ours. Others may have close to everything they can imagine, but I will still have something they don't have.
4chan is like that compare to other sites in a way. A forum, where threads just go 404 and are gone unless someone decides to save them for just a bit longer.
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Gore threads just before the bump limit on a blue board. I watched a man put his dick in a skull taken from ancient catacombs.
All those threads will be lost. Like tears, in rain. Time to stop posting.

Honestly I love the moment in the Evil Dead remake when the guy in the glasses walks in on the girl cutting her own face off and says "Why the fuck would you do that?!"
>>86386421
The whole movie is really. Because it's presented as one long scene, it's really hard to pick to out what's best.

Yeah I know it's comic shit but Gerard is a cool dude. One of the hardest things to do is 'final word before character's death' because it can always come off completely bad, no matter the build up. I thought he did great here.
