Einstein and Miller aren't a "knock-off" Scully and Mulder at all. If anything, Scully and Mulder were prototype versions of Einstein and Miller. The new agents are the better written, more consistent, more realistic versions of the believer/skeptic archetypes fans have been waiting for since the original series.
