What does /tv/ think about the movie? Finally watched it I thought it was alright, sure wasn't a flop though. I thought it was weird how Jim kind of obsessed over this woman.
She gave up her entire life and dreams just to be with him. Her views could have changed along the way and I guess her life on the ship does make a great story still.
Thoughts on this movie?

it was okay. definitely an interesting and "original" premise. it got a bit worse towards the end with Laurence "my daughter does porn" Fishburne waking up
6-7/10

Yeah I thought it was very original and kept me intrigued, but the plot was all over the place.
The trailer made it sound like there was some huge reason for them being woken up;
But it was just a sci-fi love story about a lonely guy who fixes a ship.

JLaw is horrible, no range and basically always plays the same character with the screaming and stuttering and everything. The narration was horribly annoying.
Otherwise boring but alright, could've used a twist ending though. Or not even a twist, just Pratt not surviving and her having to contemplate waking someone else.

yeah i thought the exact same from the trailer but was actually relieved it wasnt some dumb alien scifi shit but just a broken ship

Terrible movie with an awful anti-male message.

>anti-male
Why?
If anything it's anti-feminist since she basically stays with her rapist in the end.
>>86230664
And she got no blame for that in the media she was just the victim. The movie was completely anti-men.

How is it the movie's fault how the media reacted? And she was a victim. If we want to be even more anti-feminist in our interpretation we could say she had stockholm syndrom or something of the like. She was already doomed to lead this life so she was compelled to cling onto the only other human life within her grasp.

It was rape.
>>86230805
I would love to hear why you think it is anti-male fully anon?
>>86230623
Stayed with her rapist fuck that's funny
imagine if it was an ugly beta guy that released her haha
>>86230948
She had the chance to be put back asleep.
Instead she chose to stay with a guy who "murdered her" and " took her life"
Sounds like stockholm to me.
Also how creepy was it that he watched her sleep, watched her vidoes; and just by that he was in love. She also beat the shit out of him in his sleep, talk about a messed up love story

Good point anon , people would probably find it extra creepy
