Christ, I wish. I was in a Thai prison for two months. I went traveling in my late teens and made a few friends in Vietnam who I then traveled around Thailand with. After my initial blunder I made the probably sensible decision not to fuck with any of them and just bitch it out. As it turns out, most of the Thai prisoners are sound as a pound. There's a very, 'in it together' sort of mindset. But the guards are sadistic psychopaths who literally don't care if you live or die.

Guy I went in with got twelve years, and this was seven years ago. No idea whether he's still alive.
