I'm curious, because all I ever see is capeshit and modern movies. On /mu/ they still talk about the olden goldies, on /a/ they still use smug faces from 90s anime, on /v/ they still argue over DOS games, on /co/ they still talk about retro comics, but /tv/?
/tv/ doesn't seem to ever talk about movies and tv shows from even two decades ago, let alone classic cinema.
Have any of you ever seen a black and white film? A period drama? A 50s b film? A noir? A historical epic? A silent german expressionist horror?
I'm serious - other fandoms still hold on to the past, but all /tv/ talks about is what is new. Well what is new is 98% vapid, bland, horribly over-produced and directed by boardroom meetings on how to reach the lowest common denominator for mass marketing. Why would you subject yourself to watching meaningless trash that is rotten from the moment it gets vomited onto the screen when you could watch vintage trash that ages into timeless classics instead?

Protip: 98% of everything is shit. For every masterpiece of old there are hundreds of movies going for maximum profit. It's your own fault for not being able to find decent stuff in modern cinema.
