The Grave (1996)
Hands down my favorite movie and no one has even heard of it. Only 1 in 5 people I've ever showed it to even care. But I think it's amazing. It's hard to find, because it was released straight to VHS (it's 4:3) and has never been released on DVD or anything else. There is one live torrent and that's it. I had a VHS copy I taped off of TV for years and years and I still love this movie. I watched it last weekend. I highly recommend it.

I watch it every time it's on tv. It has it all: training montage, friends become enemies, hard-ass sergeant, setting up a new team. I just really, really like this movie.

Saw this on my birthday with an old friend in high school on a Sunday afternoon. We were kind of worried we'd stand out in a theater full of kids but it turned out we were the only people there.

It really was more of a teen movie, though. I mean what kid wants to see a movie that starts out with the entire earth being destroyed and humanity evolving into the dregs of the galaxy, instead of taking our rightful place as its leaders, like in Star Trek, Star Wars, et al? Might have worked better if the main characters weren't human. Sort of like The Land Before Time.

Actually that's a really good comparison now that I think of it. Titan Æ is basically The Land Before Time except with human characters set in the future. Has anyone made that comparison before?

Anyway, for those of us who caught it, it was special. Got my first speeding ticket driving my car to "It's My Turn to Fly"
