Why can't darron aronofsky make a truly marvelous movie? We all seem to hype him so hard and it's not like his movies underwhelm, it's just for some reason we expect them too overwhelm and at this point it's not like he's ever "overwhelmed" us.

I feel like he made The Fountain 20 years too early. I feel like he's destined to make a truly classic film.
