It's already been confirmed that it will NOT be in the movie by the (new) director himself.

The studio wanted to water down Cary Fukunaga's script and vision to the point where he just said "fuck you, I'm not watering down shit, find some other pussywhipped director/writer if you're just going to meddle with my work to the point where it doesn't even resemble anything close to the dark, fucked up vision I had for it" and he walked.

The thing is, his script was already a VERY watered-down version of the book. And no, "THAT" scene was not in his original script either, so if the studio wants it to be even MORE dumbed-down and accessible than what was honestly a very bland, tame and formulaic script then you can expect this to be absolute shit.

I loved IT (the novel) growing up. Guaranteed they'll ruin the movie with this double-dumbed down version.

For a comparison...
Who here has read American Psycho? Can you imagine Hollywood making a faithful adaptation of that book? Of fucking course not.

There will never be a mainstream wide-release film including scenes like a fully nude spread-eagle woman nailed to the floor with brie cheese smeared in and on her vagina and a starving sewer rat released inside her pussy eating her from the inside out as an erect, naked serial killer drills out her teeth, throatfucks her, slides a knife up her nostril til it comes out her forehead, gouges out her eyeballs with his hands, chainsaws her in half, cuts off her head and struts around his NYC apartment with her severed head hanging by the mouth from his hard cock and then having him lose his mind the next day, crying and screaming while tearing out the rotten intestines from her lower torso and eating them.

This is what was wrong with the American Psycho film adaptation.

And that was just one of the many tortures/rapes/murders in that book, none of which made it into the movie. The absolute over-the-top brutality casually mixed with 80's Yuppie culture was what made the novel a classic and truly unsettling and darkly, sickly humorous. For the movie they took out all the "ew yucky bad" parts from the book because that's only appropriate in vapid garbage torture porn movies.

There will never be a blend of truly horrific shit and actual decent content in a modern Hollywood wide release. So no sewer gangbang scene, no grisly child deaths, just jump scares, CGI and a concise 90 minute utterly forgettable movie that did not capture the atmosphere from the book whatsoever. Mark my words.
