They'd show most of these as well as classics like Armitage, Iria, Record of Loddoss Wars, Doomed Megalopolis, Galaxy Express 999, Urusei yatsura, Tenchi Muyo, etc. Their premiere of this block was opened with Robot Carnival as the first anime they ever showed and I loved it ever since

The first Silent Hill movie falls apart in the third act. The climax and ultimate reason for the dimension the movie proposes existing is lackluster. It nails the atmosphere for the most part, mostly thanks to the music and a dedicated director, but it fails thanks to studio intervention.
