Would Dune make a good series?
>>86057241
what with all the dune threads today?
>>86057784
viral promo for some hollywood asshole selling a new Dune film development deal. "look, assholes on 4chan are talking about this. a new film might just break even, which means the tax breaks would be covered."
>>86059588
actually it's all moot since brian herbert controls all the rights to anything dune and has said on several occasions that there will never be another screen adaptation.

This would make a better one.
> Frog sex
> stargates that talk back
> body swap porn
> back room dealing
> a legal system where the lawyers can kill the other lawyer. or the judges. or the witnesses.

OP here
I legit just would like to see a new series with GoT treatment for dune
>>86057241
How the fuck are you gonna make a big budget Hollywood movie about good guys literally going on a jihad in 2017
>>86059656
thank god for that. j.j.abrams gets an erection every time he hears the words "giant robot", and we do not need films of the shitty dune prequels.

Throw in the previous book, Whipping star, where you have a sadist who whipping stars to death.
>its complicated

Imagine if they follow the books as closely as S1-S3(4?) GoT
book a good director and it would be beautiful
pic unrelated

not that complicated. Mliss was a pervert, Fannie Mae could create realities from her imagination and Mliss could live in them, Cheo didn't realise this, and he paid the price.
i often think the Bureau of Sabotage would be a fun place to work.

Assuming they only adapt the main shit, it would last for what, 2 season?
First one ending on Yuueh's Betrayal and paul's awakening
Second one the rest
I would say probably yes, in the right hands.
But there are no "right hands" anymore. You just know some hollywood shithead producers/writers would shit all over it. And if by some chance not hollywood, then some BBC cuckold would do just the same.
I hope it just gets left alone.

Well It been years since I read that book.
I just recall giggling about the name Fannie Mae as I was reading it just as the housing market fell apart.

Fantsy TV series are just soap operas with occasional set pieces.
I dont want a standard version of an epic story.
