Viserys would have never made it this far. He was completely delusional, basically Mad King Aerys only without an army to back him up. He's a sympathetic character, he had to look out for his sister while the world mocked his family's legacy to his face and he had to sell off heirlooms and even his mom's crown just to put food on the table.
