I should watch this again. I've liked it before but haven't seen it in a while. One thing I remember is the scene where his family gets attacked. The way his daughter crawls to the telephone to call the police after the muggers have left is really God damn creepy. She's like a drunk spider in her movements.

It's scary how true this is, and they get so annoyed, sometimes angry when you call them out on it, like it's such a demanding request that you sit down and concentrate on a tv for 2 hours. When I was a kid they told us that was a problem, to sit and stare at the tv for hours, now today's kids have moved beyond it to something even worse.
