I wouldn't say it's "shit" so much as it was exactly what we knew we didn't really want from them. The change of format was obviously to make things fresh for themselves, but also different enough from Mythbusters. Even though all we really want to see is the Build team doing dumb shit again.

Them separating and spending little screen time together to focus on individual projects leaves much to be desired, because the best parts of the episode are honestly when they're all hanging out with each other. Be it testing out their experiments or just talking about it over all. Things like the Spaghetti scene with Kari and Tory or the Gun Range Fart bomb segment.

Most likely what would've happened is as soon as the people walked out of the store, someone would get them to sign a form allowing them to use their face/image in the video.
