Can someone post the picture of just eurons fleet so far this season?
>>85847777
>MFW this autism exists
Or you know, unsullied left Blackwater b4 Euron did
>>85847777
Do we see Eurons fleet return after he catches Lesjoy?
They could have pulled into storms end, gone across land to Kings landing, then returned to their ships and followed after the unsullied go past.
>>85847777
quads confirm.
greyworm is the Magellan of the got universe.
>>85848026
But then there's no way Euron catches up to them
>>85848096
I can accept this explanation
>>85847777
Idiot showfag here, I never actually saw the GoT map until just now and I always thought that Dorne was in Essos. God damn I feel stupid.
>>85847981
>>85849249
Dorne is basically Iberia. Essos is Asia.
>>85847777
>The more north you go the colder it is
>The more east you go the hotter it is
What
>>85849348
No, Asshai and Yi Ti are Asia. The Free Cities are clearly Yuropean
>>85848168
>pirate fleet from a seafaring nation led by urine gayboy can't catch up to mongols and dickless sandniggers who've never seen the sea
>>85849395
They seem vaguely Mediterranean
>>85849392
local climate is influenced by many variables. Both of these places on Earth are on the same latitude (35th paralel). Add this to the fact that in ASOIAF the global climate is clearly influenced by supernatural forces (implied in-universe, confirmed IRL by GRRM) and it's really not that weird.
We don't even have the map of the entire globe, we don't know where the equator or any other landmasses, oceans or ocean currents are, so even if you exclude the supernatural influence it is impossible to tell what the climate in these places should be.
>>85849392
The Eastern hemisphere is closer to the sun
>>85849392
>what are poles
>what is the equator
>>85849392
>Continets are squares
Turn off your brain off dude XD
>>85849678
the free cities are massive version of Italian City-States. None of the economics makes any sense so don't worry about it
>>85849869
But what about their tax policies?!
>>85849392
you mean the coastal areas? it's probably some sort of oceanic current like thing
>>85849808
yes, every fantasy writer should first gather a team of experts in climatology, plate tectonics and geology and run simluations through a supercomputer just to make sure no autists on 4chan get triggered that the climate in a world obviously governed by supernatural forces is not 100% scientificaly accurate.
>>85849808
>Turn off your brain off
Turno off your brain off dude XD
>>85849392
>binary star
>highly elliptical orbits
>axial tilt
>lack of regulating currents
>fucking magic
take your pick amigo
>>85849903
if GRRM ever wrote anything related to a tax policy he wouldn't remember it and would shit all over it in the next book
>>85849986
just borrow loads of money then never pay it back because no one else can read LOL
>>85849963
How about putting some effort into your world instead of glueing Britain and Ireland together and slapping Turkey next to it
>>85849869
The people of Essos seem to retarded to ever usher in a Renaissance though.
>>85849986
What is King's Robert's tax policy?
>>85849985
How would a binary star or very elliptical orbit make the climate work like that? That's not a challenge, I'm just retarded and want to know
>>85850186
I assume CIA was in charge of the tax policy under Robert.
>>85850254
What was CIA's tax policy? What did he do in times of flood and famine?
>>85850186
Hookers and wine
>>85847777
EPIC.
Simply EPIC.
>>85850189
they could explain the long seasons. local climates would be more explained by axial tilt and the lack of currents though.
without knowing the orbit and orientation of planetoss, those are just guesses as to why the climates are so fucked.
>>85847777
Just how big is Planetos? Essos being so long has to mean either the world is flat or the planet is larger that Earth. Has the fat man said anything?
if they had a choice. they would have gone after the fleet that was going to dawn..as it was a smaller window of opertunity. They knew the unsulled fleet would take longer to get to its destination so they focus down the first fleet, hand in the prize to get cersie interested then go after the unsullied for which they were only a couple of hours later. Considering with sailing ships is lucky if you can predict to the day when they'd get to their destination its hardly a bad tactic.
if they had gone for the unsullied first they would have alerted D that their is an enemy fleet in the area. Letting the fleet that has further to go pass them meant they were basically trapped. If they turned around they'd have been trapped in open water (Which is what the iron fleet wants anyway). there only chance was to keep going. Surprise the real fleet as thats the challanging one and the biggest threat and catch the unsullied soon after as it would take less ships.
tl:dr. Greyjoy let the unsullied pass them by in order to destroy both fleets.
>>85847777
check mate
>>85850580
It makes sense if it wasn't the north pole up there famalam
>>85850666
it's not necessarily the north pole, it's a pole without direct sunlight
>>85850303
borrowed shit loads from Tywin and the Iron Bank
>>85850521
Westeros is the size of SA
>>85850142
that's not fair, clearly all of Westeros is influenced by Yurop
Crownlands = South England
Stormlands = Germany
Dragonstone = Wales
Dorne = Spain
Iron Islands = Vikings
The Reach = France
North = Lowland Scots
Wildlings = Highland Scots
give the fat man credit for ripping shit off.
nice quads btw
>>85849392
i mean, labrador (canada) and UK are on the same line, yet labrador has polar bears while it rarely snows in the UK.
>>85847777
http://gameofthrones.wikia.com/wiki/Ships
>The Iron Fleet consists of 100 longships, which are faster than war galleys but have less tonnage, but are only the core ships which are held to belong to the Iron Islands as a whole, directly under the command of House Greyjoy, and which can dip 100 oars each.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Longship
>the maximum speed of a longship under favorable conditions was around 15 knots (28 km/h).
>28km/h
>>85850780
>influenced by Yurop
No he means the map itself is copy pasted from the real world maps of those places. They are just tweaked a little.
>>85851091
Apparently I live in a wildling forest
>>85850780
its heavily inspired by the war of the roses
so, just britain.
>>85851249
>Edinburgh, Perth, or Dundee
Sounds about right
>>85849321
Why is all the ship combat just one side slinging fireballs at the other? Do you know how hard it is to hit a moving target with a catapult on an unstable ship? Or how one fuck up would burn their own ship down? Remember Bronns line about "men get scared, men shit themselves" referring to the wild fire before Blackwater? Now all of a sudden they have precision catapults that outrange 19th century cannons and instantly destroy any ship they touch with zero casualties on their own side.
>>85851778
Euron's men know no fear
>>85851778
Well, GRRM is a master in writing fiscal policies and tax regimes, not in military tactics.
>>85851469
no he went out his way to include an obvious Spain, France, Scotland and Viking nation
