Metroid wouldn't be a very good video game series to make a movie out of. One of the core elements of the series is isolation. Most of the games just involve Samus walking around an alien planet by herself, which wouldn't make for a very interesting film. And if you start adding in dialogue then you'll end up creating something like Other M. Metroid is already heavily inspired by Alien, so it's not like a film version of Metroid doesn't exist already.

Videogames don't make good movies.
Metroid is harmed when it tries to focus on story.

I think a Metroid movie is just no good idea.

I would cast the guy that does Master Chief's voice to be Samus' inner voice since she doesn't talk.
