Exactly. Well bronze is harder than iron, but more difficult to forge because you need something like tin which was relatively rare. Bronze is also much more resistant to exposure and moisture. Iron was favored because it was more plentiful, easier to work and there is some advantage to being less hard. Iron weapons are still pretty hard after being worker, but will dent or distort instead of breaking like bronze. That makes iron easier to fix. But bronze wasn't inferior for the most part and bronze weapons could and did stand up against iron many times. Iron wasn't necessarily worse or better for weapons overall, just different. Bronze armor is arguably better overall than iron though. If you can work it into shape. Oh and iron had the advantage of being able to make steel which is far superior when they figured it out.
