This. The summer children won't remember, but for pretty much all the 90s, The Simpsons was seen as very edgy TV. Media groups were constantly protesting it, George H.W. Bush badmouthed it, and I had tons of friends that weren't allowed to watch it. It's really weird given the show's family friendly, positive image now, because I remember when people would talk about how destructive it was to children.

I remember a writer saying, I think it was Conan O'Brien, that the lewdest gags they could think of would often slip past the censors simply because the censors were idiots and didn't actually understand the jokes, probably pic related included. It would've been a mix of that with how well the show was performing, that some asshole censor didn't want to lose their job by questioning little nitpicks with the writing.

why would sneed keep the rhyming name, just because chuck had it? was it in the contract? he could have just as easily named it Sneeds Grainery, or Sneeds gardening supplies
i think the real meaning here is that Sneed is a kind and friendly business owner (note the already open door, creating a welcoming atmosphere), and Chuck was cruel and overcharged people, hence Sneed named his shop with a fun little rhyme, and also set out to let his customers know that Chuck was long gone and wouldn't trouble them anymore
