Ok, So I have been against owning physically media and have been pirate shit since the days of bearshare.
I still feel that IP laws are fucking bullshit and piracy is a crime, but lately, I have been buying blurays. Their really is something to holding your favorite movie, watching extra features, commentary tracks. I'm still going to pirate, but I want to own physically copies of certain movies that I truly love. Anyone else feel this way?
What are some good blurays that are worth getting? Where is the cheapest place to buy them half.com? So far my collection is weak as shit and I won't include dvds.
LOTR extended edition
LOTR theatrical.
Spiderman 1,2,3
Goodfellas
Casino
Dune

The films you like, maybe? Idiot.

Well, some movies have bad bluray releases. Take for example, Predator.
Also, some movies really benefit from having good visuals, I would never get dumb and dumber or kingpin on bluray, they don't need to look good. I got Dune on bluray because that movies is very flawed, but is visually interesting.

You should look into some true kino. Literally. Kino, Criterion, Scream Factory and Arrow are all great labels.

It depends on what you're after. I bought a Dracula set for about $24 and it included a bunch of other Dracula movies. I paid maybe $22 just for Salo alone. But on the other hand, really popular movies like Scream, King Kong, Sunset Boulevard, etc are cheap.
excuse my potato camera

kino is having a massive sale on their studio classics line until aug 6. they have a lot of rare schlock and a few lesser known gems

>Fresh Flesh
Sounds like a sequel to Candyman.

I haven't paid more than $20 for a non criterion movie in years. Pretty much every movie released by a non-boutique label is garunteed to hit sub $10 at some point within a year of release

Fuck blurays. Sitting through 15 previews...
>>85740574
yeah I do. It's a smart thing to do. If I love a movie, then it deserves my money and I like to have a copy.

The Hot Fuzz blu-ray is great: making of documentary, making of vlogs, commentary with simon pegg and edgar wright, commentary with the actors, commentary with quentin tarantino and edgar wright, one of edgar wrights first shortfilms Dead Right with optional commentary by nick frost and simon pegg, a one and a half hour long documentary showing their tour through america promoting the movie (visiting famous movie locations) with additional commentary.
