I was annoyed at Dougie at first but this episode felt lacking without him. 10 seconds was not enough. Maybe that was all part of Lynch's master plan.

I've got to be honest, I am getting sick to fucking death of this season. I was really hopeful and hype for it's premiere, and every single episode I think "this is the one where the the story is going to go in some clear sort of direction!", and I come away every time, so disappointed.

What the fuck is the story? Where are things heading? Why do we see old characters pop up for single nonsensical scenes that seem to have no real connection to anything else on the regular? When is the normal Coop coming back? Where the fuck did James go after we glimpsed him that one time in the first two episodes??

Do any of you have some kind of theory or explanation as to why this whole third season so far is as aimless as the bad episodes of season 2?

There has been a HUGE showing of how life in Twin Peaks has been fucked up. Everyone is off, or feeling angry, scared, whatever. I wonder what the payoff is going to be?

That the Black Lodge is causing all of this to be happening in Twin Peaks? Because it was fucked up before The Return but this just seems like it's the next level. This episode was fine. Here's the good:
>Laura Palmer and some seriously creepy and foreboding stuff
>Truman and Ben talking
>All but confirms bad coop is Richard's dad
>Warden is dead

And then there's the Audrey scene. First of all, to those complaining about the lack of context, it doesn't matter. The point and weight of the scene still comes across, and knowing all the names DOES NOT matter. But secondly, clearly there is more to come. Billy and the stolen truck? There are some unanswered things about the guy Andy was supposed to meet and the weird things revolving around him.
That scene and so many in this episode were funny. The midget husband had me cracking up and so did Gordon.

tl;dr I miss Dougie too, and perhaps this episode wasn't as strong as 11 or some others, but it was a GOOD episode. It had as much progression as many of the others, some clearly good scenes, and ones that are still unclear, but if you can't appreciate them, then the truth is you've been Lynched.

I'm so-so on Tammy and Diane. Tammy's actress isn't very strong, and I figured Laura Dern of all people would be more captivating. However I do still find their scenes interesting albeit weaker, so not quite torture.

In one of Frost's TP books, Audrey was confirmed to be in a coma as a result of the bank explosion.
