If your debt is 20b, and it's at say 20%
And you make 10b a year but don't pay your debt
Next year it will be 24b, and maybe you'll make 10-11b
Next year will be 28,8b and you'll make maybe 12-13b
If you aren't too smart and get it by looking at this numbers, next year the debt interest will be 5,76b, wich is a hell lot of more than what you call "steeply increasing" revenue.

Now, I don't actually know the numbers, but anyone can easily math away the lowest debt interest rate unpayble line for the difference of last year and this year's Netflix income.

They've actually got a great business model. If they're producing their own shows, it's a one time sunk cost and then they have those shows forever. It's much more expensive in the long run to have to pay every year to keep licensing content produced by others.

One show can cost upwards of 50 Million to license for just one year. if they have hundreds of shows, the overhead is astronomical. If they produce their own shows, they just pay to have it made and don't have to worry about the yearly costs piling up.
