Plenty of digital movies look fine. The Hobbit films just have some of the worst color grading I've ever seen. And for some reason they added shitloads of ugly bloom to the second and third movie.

I think the Hobbit films are worse than LOTR, but they aren't that bad too. But, then again, I think LOTR is massively overrated, and I can't understand why is it so loved by many segments of the population. To me, it is just a good blockbuster, not an integral part of culture as many people seem to believe
