ISP don't give you notices unless you upload. So don't seed your public tracker torrents. Just download and delete the torrent asap. I download shit ALL the time for YEARS and the only time I ever EVER got one was when I torrented the full second season of iZombie and forgot to set qbittorent to close automatically, so it seeded all night. By the time I woke up I had the notice in my E-mail.

I torrent because my mom doesn't care to pay for cable. I usually have to download months of new Netflix shows and cable tv seasons at a time. Never got a notice. You're probably right. I thought that the movie studios host their own property and report all the IPs in the swarm. Meaning downloading and uploading. How do you know it's just seeding that tips them off?
