At least that kickass Waterworld show is still at Universal, the effects in it are amazing.

Critical it bombed, can't say how mich money it will make
I think Cinderella Man bombed and I really enjoyed the flick.

Waterworld apparently broke even.
I just recall Pluto Nash was a huge bomb, with a budget of over 100 million and making less then 8 million.

That was a very good film that did bomb hard. They where hoping it could run for a long part of the summer as something that wasn't the usual summer fair like seabiscuit. It didn't happen.
Some good movies that flopped
Lord of War
Sunshine
Zodiac
Children of Men

>actually rebooting/remaking ben-hur
Wow.
The biggest lost (Inflation adjusted) is the "The 13th Warrior" which lost something like 128 million back in 1999, so the inflation adjustment is like 200 million.
And I still say it not a bad film.

Yeah, It was one of those "Someone actually thought this was a good idea"
I mean, I can understand some stuff - like for example "Life" or a movie that was a total mess like "collide" which fell production hell due to a production company going into chapter 11 but contracts requiring a wide release.
but who would think Ben-Hur would be a sell today?
John Carter
Spiderman homecoming
I actually liked Tomorrowland.
