It doesn't have much thrills besides that one 10/10 one-take scene.
The main meat of everything isn't the investigation (solve the case, find the killer) but more to explore how the investigation changes the characters and their relationships.
There's some lovecraft shit there but it's minimal. Lovecraft fags would be disappointed if they came to this looking for something of the genre.
