His only motive is that he is evil, when we were writing we really wanted Negan to explain to Carl the reason he does the things he does. We wanted to use his comic book motive. He believes it's his responsibility to keep people inline, he has morals, he has motives. But amc thinks that is to heady and deep for people. And this is going to come back and bite us in the ass at the end of this first half of this season. Rick keeps him alive, not because he doesn't want to kill anymore. But because he knows it would kill Negan knowing that his way is wrong. It's completely out of Ricks character in the show too keep a monster alive. And because of this it's going to make the dumb people they wanted to appease in the first place angry. Also we originally wanted all out war to be one complete season, but amc is cheap and doesn't want to pay for it. Get ready for a action packed first half, but one of the most boring second half's we've had since season two.

That would be too problematic, meaning it would be too understandable. We can't have fucking Nazis running around, now can we?

>your audience is too dumb
not just dumb but retarded if you somehow managed to keep watching this drivel beyond season 2

Negans motives are crystal clear, he's an alpha dog, and he's establishing a mafia like protection racket, you work for him and you are protected you dont follow the rules and you're fucked.

Money and stupidity. They're cheap, and think the people who watch are too stupid to understand a fucking comic book.
