What does /tv/ think about pic related turning into a series?
Poorly. I'm sick of this 80's revival they keep pushing.
If something was good back then, keep it that way, don't touch it further. Try to remake terrible movies instead, it's a nice challenge.

Complete monkeys paw result.

That might be a generally good rule of thumb, but not all the time. It's not based on an 80's movie, but the Fargo TV series is arguably better than the source material. All that really matters is that you have talented people working on it.

This.
Either Jews are going to SJW another film and it'll be shit or some retard donkey-brain will just use a script from some similar show they couldn't get pushed and hijack the name of the movie to sell it.
If it turns out good I'll not only be surprised but shocked as well.

I see your point, but Fargo itself is a delicate example, since the source and the show aren't exactly the same thing, plotwise.
I'm currently involved with the production &, as a fan of the movie, I'm impressed with the calibre of the writing. Very respectful.

It's an exciting idea, but I'm afraid it's just not going to live up it's potential.
Although it could lead to Genndy getting to make his sequel idea which would be infinitely better.
