That's been a thoery of mine for years, Guts and Zodd have had a mutual respect or power from their first meeting and in the last they worked together to beat Ganishka, Zodd even said "I won't tell Griffith"
We know Zodd respects only strength which is why he is serving Griffith in the first place, but he is a unique apostle, opting to guard the eclipse because he see's slaughtering lambs as dishonourable, if Griffith were to dishonour himself and Guts to prove his strength it's very plausible he'd change sides, say telepath loli gets eaten for example, he meets with Guts and fights him to have him prove his worth, remember how he allowed Grunbeld to fight him in his Berserker armour instead of him? Zodd would not forget that as Guts is the first human to injure him in 100 years, unfortunately I suspect this is a red herring as Zodd is clearly a replacement for Guts in Griffiths mind, he would not allow him out of sight to the point he could switch sides even if he wanted too, remember the chapter on the hill with Rickert? Griffith acts like a jilted lover towards Guts, Griffiths form may have changed during the eclipse but his mind did not, that is why Griffith had to become a demon in his own mind first to become a godhand, it's a narrative sleight of hand to highlight that everyone is influenced by casuality except the Godhand and apostles, they are offered a real choice

If Griffith takes over Midland/ the world he will set his eyes on the other planes next, including the astal and then the godhand next as his motivation is muh kingdom, Zodd should have issues with this for the same reason he killed Wyalt fucking with crippled Griffith, but these are still just principles, we know Berserk works on an axis of casuality and Zodd is a player from the same era as skull knight and the witch, one of whom is dead and make no mistake they will all die passing the baton onto the new generation
I suspect Zodd in the spiral of casuality is what Isidro will become, the spare Behelit I think is casca speculation bait, but in casuality she's a nobody so far we have no Zodd equilavent. Zodd and Skullknight have a unique relationship of respect and hatred, not a lot of people can fill that gap

There's just no way to have a guy swing around a sword as big as him without it looking utterly fucking stupid. Manga and anime are easy to dissociate from real-world physics, but seeing it in live action would just be jarring.
