I seriously have no idea what they were thinking with the Emoji Movie.

movies made for 1-3 year olds do horribly, and 4-7 year olds don't have cell phones. Anyone older than that is embarrassed at the idea an Emoji movie even exists.
And Disney has already proven for a century that you can make a movie a young child can watch that is also an actual good movie.

How old are you anon? Most young children I encounter have some sort of idevice, be it an iphone, ipad or some other smartphone thing. They definitely know what emojis are.

If the Dark Tower was being done semi faithfully I might be at least ambivalent, but it looks like they're simplifying it AND bastardizing it.
