Does nobody understand that every children's animated movie follows one of 3 possible plotlines and every one is just a reskin of the last one to use the same plotline? It will be neatly packaged and digestible and it was made so easy for them to define characters since the literal look on their faces is who they are. How could it be any easier to make a smash that resonates well with kids than to have characters who are LITERALLY surface-level in their depth.

It's going to be stupid and unneccesary, like 95% of animated kids movies, but it will make money and get a sequel and I want to die now please why does humanity have to be so predictable? Why are we such creatures of habit? Why can't we evolve from what we find recognizable and comfortable? Lord I know this is not how you intended your greatest creation to be reduced to.
