I don't think that we'll see a reboot as a movie for decades. I wouldn't be surprised though if in 10 or 15 years, someone tries to do a television show. It will probably have more high fantasy elements to make it visually different from Jackson's trilogy.

Second, stop acting like Lord of the Rings is some high art cultural milestone. They're three okay movies adapting some good original fantasy. If you care this strongly about Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings I'm inclined to think that you don't really care strongly about film or fantasy and just do this because you're not only a grievance collector, but you're also too lazy to find real problems to get angry about.

Darker and more realistic to appeal to the GoT audience, some hack would probably decide that the heroes need to be more flawed so we'd have have stuff like violent drunk Gimli and elven supremacist Legolas. The non-human races would probably be more like humans, dwarfs only slightly shorter than humans, elves basically what they are in the Witcher games.

Also, Sauron would be made into a warlord with a "believable motivation" maybe about orcish liberation or something, to make the story more morally grey. There'd be a major plotthread about how the forces of Mordor just want freedom and a place in the sun. Maybe someones gonna make them a metaphor for post WWI Germany but that's more clever than I expect from them.

And sure as hell Aragorn is gonna elaborate on his tax policy and someone will think they're really clever for writing.
