haven't read the book so i can't comment on how it holds up as an adaptation but it was a pretty decent neo noir in my opinion. still was expecting something a little farther out there having read some of pynchons other stuff (ie it never veered into surrealist fantasy or anything)

Not those guys.. i really like his other films but Inherit Vice was really poorly put together. Probably his weakest work.
