It may not be what you're looking for, but check out HarmonQuest. It's a thing Dan "yes I know he's a cuck" Harmon and two other nerdy actors did where they roleplay D&D live before an audience and parts of the adventure (most of it in fact) are animated to show the characters acting out their events. It's not perfect but it scratched the itch for me.
