I used to sort of bully other bullies.

I won the genetic lotto and was blessed at birth with the full Chad package, including the brains. By junior high, I was already about half a foot taller than my whole class and shaving twice a day to not have stubble. I could (and did on a couple of occasions) buy alcohol without clerks even batting an eye. By senior year, I was 6'2", 220 lbs. with the the same broad shoulders as my dad. That was twenty years ago and I haven't gained a pound and make no conscious efforts to watch my diet or even exercise much more than twice a week. Not all of them took me up on it, but any of them that did only ever did it once.

One of the bullies that I fought was doing the stereotypical bully thing of trying to intimidate a bookworm type into letting him copy his math homework. I ended up sort of humiliating him, taking him down a peg, but while we were waiting outside the principal's office, I also told him I'd help him with his math if he wanted me to. He took me up on that offer as well. It turned out that he suffered from a form of dyslexia that's specific to numbers(dyscalculia), and while he never got great with math, I helped him soldier through.

Years later, that same guy pulled my parents out of a house fire while I was away at college. Today, he's a fire chief and I work with special needs kids. We remain close friends.
