What do you mean by cultural impact?
Every fucking day I see this thread and this countdown feels like I watch my Life time vanish.
I already know the fucking movie won't even come out when you reach 0 but I also wonder in what kind of place will I be when we finally get there.
my life between Avatar 1 and 2 didn't really change much and I don't expect it to change in the remaining days, I wake up, I eat breakfast and I go through the catalog every fucking day. I don't have much to do besides playing videogames or watch movies that I alt tab way too often.
things are just going nowhere in the other departments, I still didn't move out of my parents basement, I didn't start to work out, I didn't even found a job in all that time. gf? nope, never gonna happen.
So I kinda sit here again and wonder, should I end it or should I really bother waiting the remaining days to see what happens?
Its funny, isn't it? imagine your life is so shit you wait for a fucking james cameron movie because you want to see the memes and shitposting that will happen once this drops in the cinemas and there is nothing else in your life. really can't make this shit up, its happening to me right fucking now.
which Avatar will give everyone VR headsets in the theater

>Disney and Fox expected Avatar 2 in 2014, and Avatar 3 in 2018
>from a director who only releases one movie per decade

while I will indeed post this in every avatar thread I see it is the absolute truth.

think of star wars
there's all kinds of video games, novels, recognizable characters and lines... it's part of American culture
Avatar is just blue cat Native Americans in space

Star Wars is 8 movies that have spanned over 40 years

If Star Wars is the hallmark of cultural impact when it comes to films then I'm glad that Avatar never became such overhyped garbage that oversaturated every market.
