The problem is not the teleporting the problem is when one character puts some soup on the fire, sends another one to ride 5000 miles, and they come back just when the soup is ready.

Don't show them travel if you think it's boring and they literally don't do anything other than traveling... But show other stuff so that the time passes, or it just looks stupid, and resolves problems in a stupid way, which ruin tensions at time.

That's missing the point tho, the same problem would still be there.

Because these characters would be 3 months later, but everyone else would be at the exact same point. THIS is the issue a lot of people (who care about details in the slightest, anyway) have.

Say, there's a "3 months later" before Euron attacks Yara, to let us think they were quite far at sea, possibly close to Dorne, when Euron attacked. Fine!

But then the scene changes, goes back to the north, and it shows Jon and Davos leave for Dragonstone to meet with Daenerys.
What the fuck where they doing for 3 months? And you can't say (like GRRM said about the books at time) that the scenes aren't chronoligcally in order, because we know that Dany sent a message to Jon about at the same time as they sent the fleet to Dorne, so if "3 months later" happens and Jon leaves, then Jon fucked around for 3 months before leaving, there's no other way around it.

And this is what we have right now, even if they don't show the "3 months later" thing. Because we know that some time had to be spent.

Like when LF rode back&forth from KL, regardless of what happened in the OTHER storyline (wall, dorne, etc..), the stuff in KL should've been months ahead, but it seemed to be the exact same time. So basically LF teleported. Not because "they didn't show it".. Because no time passed in the storyline linked in time with LF's travel.

Just started watching from Season 1 the other day.
So far S1 was the most boring shit I've seen in a long time with just a few good moments.
S2 was slightly better, making this just above average.
Overall I kind of like the story and where it's headed but it feels like a chore watching most of this.
My biggest complaint is literally every single scene with Dany in it. Worst character I've seen from any piece of fictional media in all my life.

Season 2 was the point where they stuck Emilia Clarke in every single episode even though she had 5 chapters in the entire book. Blackwater, amazing as it was, lead to several episodes just boiling down to "we've got to wait until the Blackwater, nothing happening this week".

It introduced some good characters, true, but we also saw plots like Robb being butchered.

It also had goofy shit that they transferred 100% from the book that had no point, like Davos rowing Melisandre to the cave and then the Shadow killing Renly in some tent.

Theon and Blackwater saved season 2, essentially. Nothing else really mattered in the end.
