Is anyone else getting burned out on capeshit and Marvel/DC? At first it was all fun with movie like Iron Man, Captain America and Thor (even though some were subpar). Then the next wave hit with movies like The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy which I did enjoy, but at this point the cape-/superherokino all started to follow the same formulic script. Throw in some funny one-liners, pg-13 rated actions scenes for the teens and, of course, some superhero fanservice.
Next the third wave hit and it all started with Avengers: Age of Ulrton, Civil War, Batman vs Superman, Suicide Squad and Deadpool. Although Deadpool was a pleasant surpirse the rest fell incredibly short. It was all big budgetted and marketed to hell pseudo-teenkino. Once again witty humor, big CGI and actions scenes were all prominent.
After that movies like Doctor Strange and Guardians of the Galaxy 2 came out. Guardians 2 being an absolute shit movie with horrible and juvenile jokes, daddy-issue story and super duper cool action scenes for yall teenies!!
Now there have been some decents ones in between like Ant-Man, but that doesnt make up for all the mediocre and bad flicks released in the past and near future. I know Marvel and DC are still going full on with these kind of movies, but is anyone else burned out on them? Justice League doesnt look appealing, Spiderman has been milked to death this century and Thor Ragnarok looks like another dull Chris Hemsworth production.
I would love to hear you guys' opion on this.
Also, sorry if the timeline isnt all that correct, but this is my own view. I know films like Batman Begins came out before the big bust, but that was a whole different production (until the last one of corse).
