>>
>>85396593
OK, this movie does look pretty damn stupid.

But to all the "why don't you just" posters like >>85396648, it wouldn't be as easy as all that. The cover is obviously solid, and with nothing underneath to push off from, just breaking it would not be that easy. Plus, something you might not appreciate if you've never had to spend a lot of time underwater is that hypothermia can be a problem, even in relatively warm water. Even "room temperature" water is 20-30 degrees (f) lower than your blood temperature, and it takes a lot more energy to regulate your temp when wet. While dry, there's actually a thin layer of air near your skin, trapped by hair/clothes, that doesn't circulate, which provides insulation. In water, you don't have that, which is why water feels "cool" even if it's the same temp as the air. You can effectively freeze to death in 70 degree water if you stay in long enough.

all that have to do is wiggle it at a corner constantly to try and create a crease. the material will fatigue and tear.

this sort material failure is an issue in airliners. as the planes flex ever so slightly when pressurizing and depressurizing. which is why windows, doors, and hatches are rounded and reinforced in corners. to minimize the chance of catastrophic failure while in flight.

The staff covered up the pool without even checking if there were still people in it? They were swimming for fuck's sake, they couldn't have been completely underwater for more than a few seconds, and surely they would have been making noise. Furthermore, whoever closed the pool left immediately after pressing the button and was already out of earshot by the time they started screaming, which was the very moment the pool finished closing. Surely the staff would have taken more than a passing glance at the pool to check for people before activating the cover, and surely they would have waited until the cover is fully drawn before leaving, as it would be their ass on the line if something failed and the pool remained exposed for the entire holiday and something got in it.

Friends or family who keep calling their cellphones and not getting a response would eventually call the cops.

Also, these are females who are likely deep into social media.

The skin was all swollen and white.

they should do a movie about Millenials trapped in a house with no wifi / no cellphones for a week

They should just make tons of movies with two collage girls trapped in situations that two men would escape in seconds. Like being trapped in a tree in a petting zoo surrounded by "really aggressive geese" that were let out over the weekend. Or trapped in a cabin with the only telephone that's a hundred yards away in a really bad snowstorm. Or trapped in a garage with no food but "a really big spider" built a web over the only button that opens the door.

They should make a movie about an ex KKK cop who joins the secret service due to his love of George W Bush and right as soon as he gets sworn in Obama gets elected.

It's your spider sense.
Next time you're in a really high place and you feel that familiar sensation, remove your shoes and sock and walk off the edge.
You'll stick to the side. Trust me.

>>85410794
your post is retarded and makes no fucking sense. Fat people get overheated easily and would probably be hot in even a room temperature pool.

>hurr you guys have heated pool? In russia we swim in ice, hurrrr

fuck off back to your ice baths you third world shit

The tech is here. You could pull something like this off while looking somewhat quality with shitty props.
>>
>>85411260
No, it's because you Amerishart fucking losers are so fucking obese you're used to the heat. You're beat faggots with micropenises that become negative in length whenever something isn't nice, warm and cosy for you. Beta Amerishart losers. You cant handle a swimming pool below warm because you're folds of fat make you very accommodated to heat.

First of all, what the fuck pool is even 12 feet deep let alone 20+.

A competition Olympic pool is minum 2 but likely closer to 3m deep, that's like ~10 feet max.

That sounds like a cool story but a bit too perfect. Neither of us smoked though, so we didn't have any options like that. It was late and we were halfway up when all the lights and the lifts stopped. Was actually pretty scary but the snow underneath was quite soft so the fall wasn't too bad. Skiing down in really dark conditions afterwards was difficult too

Hollywood is risk averse because too much is riding on profits. I'm all for making money but you should also give the audience some quality.

The 80's blockbusters have a lot to blame for this, but they aren't the sole cause. And even then, 80's blockbusters had cinematography, music, practical effects, writing, and atmosphere that outclasses today's.

I just read an article about this. Apparently he was a fairly large guy and thought he was in a section of the cave he wasn't. So when things got too tight to turn around he pressed on thinking he'd come out the other side. Instead he ended up over a hole and his chest expanded and he had nowhere else to go but into it. When help came they knew he was fucked since to get him out of the hole would entail crushing his legs. Plus he had been in there for hours upside down and a doctor was telling them that toxins would be accumulating in his blood and even if he got into an upright position the toxins would kill him once returning to his heart. They couldn't even pull him out and hope neither of those things killed him as the friction was breaking the ropes. They began creating a pulley system to relieve the friction but it was fruitless. Vegetable oil did nothing. Power tools were too large to fit and operate. Small tools took too long -- 90 minutes to create 6 inches of space. So they just left him there to die and sealed off the cave.

This is the biggest hole, they'd be looking for them in a few hours and the police can instantly ping their phones showing they're at the pool but I suppose that's why a fucking murderer comes in to kill them which everyone seems to be ignoring.
>>
>>85411851
A heated pool wouldn't be that much hotter. You little pansy Americunts are so fat you're used to the heat, so it doesn't make a difference to you.
