If this was picked up by HBO or some other premium channel, it would be objectively the greatest show of all time, but maybe a little less popular
The ride was fucking fantastic, but it shit the bed unbelievably hard in the last season. It spent that whole season just pulling dozens things completely out of nowhere and pretending like it was a remotely natural conclusion they'd planned out from the start.
I know a few people who really liked Lost, but now say they hate it because the ending didn't deliver, which strikes me as really juvenile. There's so much great stuff there, and acting like 100 something episodes of good TV is completely invalidated by a bad ending is almost a moral failing.
