absolutely loved the movie. did not know it was based on a novel. read the novel later and i'm glad i saw the movie first because movie is not as good as the novel. novel is difficult to translate into a movie because most is internal/thoughts. when i watched the movie, i thought the bene gesseritt reverend mothers had telepathy (in that scene when reverend mother mohiam used her bene-gesseritt-trained senses to listen in to the conversation between the emperor and the guild navigator).

the remake is a better rendering of the novels.

No, if it is Leto, it is implied that Paul is the one who does it. Leto says something to the effect of, "My son and my concubine together! This is wrong!" Sex options are fine, but I legitimately enjoyed playing through it simply as a Dune game. Buying harvesters, allocating fremen tribes, planning the attack on arakeen.
