There were probably shades of that sort of thing on Wall Street in the 80's. It is a shame how some people don't get that it's a movie and like it for all the wrong reasons. It reminds me of freshman year in college when a few people try to turn college into the party they've seen on tv and film. They don't seem to understand that people go to college to study and learn and earn a degree...along a few shades of the party portrayal.
